Youth Workforce Development
Getting a job is key to a promising future. Keeping a job is even more important. Banner currently offers two programs to help youth find their path to success.
- YouthWorks summer program for youth ages 14-21 provides a salary, field trips, daily instruction, and hands-on work experience in their own communities.
- JumpStart Success afterschool program for youth ages 15-18 teaches skills like career planning, interviewing, resume writing, financial literacy, and communication.
- Next2Connect will prepare high school seniors and graduates for the digital job market and support them as they enter the workforce. In partnership with PJUX.io, LLC, participants will develop skills in digital marketing, web publishing, and graphic design through remote instruction and on-demand content.
- Career Pathways guides participants in developing a 10-year career plan. It gives students the knowledge, skills, and attitudes they need to examine their own lives, explore a wide range of education and career options, and make reasoned and researched goals for their future.
